it was a plaque located on the slight uphill incline to the actuall memorial....on the right side of the path. it is located in a large round area with a huge propeller from a german ship. the plaque says something to the effect......still on patrol. it lists the names of 52 i think, submarines from the us navy that went down. interestinlgly, about 10 feet to the left of it is basically the same type plaque for japanese submariners.

it was quite easy to find actually.

well, getting ready to board the train nach sud deutschland.
