The radio \"pirates\" were forced off the flak towers (Maunsell Forts ?) by the British, quite illegally, because they were outside the territorial waters.
One of the platforms was taken by an individual who declared it a sovereign nation. He was also forcefully removed by the British. This all happened in the early seventies if I remember well.
