<HTML>Hi Walter
No German naval skipper was ever given an order by Doenitz too run
their ships or U-boats aground, and run when Germany surrender.!
I German naval officer in WWII, like captains of all warships are
trained & expected to obey orders without any options..!.
The German navy were a very discipline group under Adm Doenitz\'s
orders, even right up too the very end of the war.
cheers, Joe Brennnan
