Hi Steve.
In the Soviet Union there were strict laws which were fulfilled strictly. These laws probably were more strict than it was required. For this reason many innocent people have suffered. In Red Army there were military tribunals. For a little violation both the soldiers and the officers were strictly punished. The Soviet Command has ordered to punish the soldier for the not humane relations to civilians. This order was strictly fulfilled as well as all other orders. Unfortunately of atrocity of war made thear work. The separate cases of the not humane relations the soldier of Red Army to civilians in Germany are known. I regret about these facts. By a consolation may be not humane relations to the civilians was not a policy of USSR. The Government and the Army Command pursued and severely punished guilty.
For this reason a paper such as written by the American Nazi Soren Swigart The Sinking of the MS Wilhelm Gustloff will not be favoured by me. The historical facts represented by a false image in similar papers. Only one example indicating the competence of the author. He writes \"Captain Marinesko of the S-13 was proclaimed a hero of the Soviet Union and received and decorated by Josef Stalin\". Actually Captain Marinesko was proclaimed a hero of the Soviet Union in 1990 by Mikhail Gorbachev in 27 years after dead of the Navy officer. The similar articles of the incompetent writers have the purpose to create bad impression about Russia. After reading the similar texts I would like to take a shower.
I do not know that you understand under \"Poltava Affair\"
If it\'s a book of Infield, Glenn. \"Poltava Affair: A Russian Warning, An American Tragedy\". New York: Macmillan, 1973
There speech goes about cooperation USSR, USA and Great Britain within WW2. As the book is written on peak of Cool War, there is a lot of paranoia which is peculiar for those years.
In the Soviet Union under \"Poltava Affair\" probably will understand one of the first judicial processes under crimi nazis that guilty of an erasure of many thousand of Soviet people and also executions of even more of the people which have remained alive. These criminals were kiled on eyes of there victims.
