Interesting items you are collecting. I have not heard of the use of MG81z on Uboat, single MG34 or 42 were put aboard those boats in \'43, which did not yet have their tower conversions with additional flak. Annoyance factor for pilots, but fairly inefficient since not enough punch. Late in \'44/45 a few boats were equipped with twin Breda Machguns in pressuretight ready containers on the tower extensions (one opens the lids and guns ready to fire pop up). Believe the caliber was an odd 1.5cm (i.e. little more than 1/2\"). Rgds, RB</HTML>
