Eh, this is rather unfair on our part (uboat.net \"staff\" - we all have other jobs so this is very misleading term).

We have spent enourmous time and energy on this forum, trying to make it clean and easy running - with 2 part-time moderators.

And when we have to come in and delete posts (in very rare cases mind you - this is probably one of the most \"hands-off\" forums I\'ve seen on the Net) what is the reaction? Simple: mostly bitching and moaning and complains of \"Nazi-like\" censorship on our part.

Most \"pleasureable\" to receive such e-mail en masse I assure you :/

There is no way in hell that we can trap all potential flame-baits before they are developed into threads. Not a chance, not with work and sleep a key element in our lives.

Well, yes, actually there is a way, we could alter the forum to be fully moderated so that no posts show up here unless approved by us. But we\'ve rejected that idea in the past as it would effectively kill the forum and its main usefulness (the speed and liveness).

I will NOT tolerate some unfounded allegations against us that we\'re not doing a stand-up job here!
