<HTML>The other Arado had suffered engine failure due to water getting on the exposed radial heads. Capt. Langsdorff\'s biography -Langsdorff of the Graf Spee Prince of Honour by Joseph Gilby has considerably more detailed info. The first engine failed during the capture of the Ashlea on Oct 7 and the last on Dec 11 two days before the battle.</HTML>
