<HTML>Argentina turned the two Uboats to the Usa, but NOT Spain. Spain could legally keep the first one, because it was officilally sold, but not the second, that came on the war closing days. I believe the second one was deliberately set unseaworty and kept for spares on the benefit of the first. Maybe some Spanish reader could enlight us all.
