In Daniel V. Gallery's book "Twenty Million Tons Under Ths Sea", pg.154, he quoted the War Diary of U-505 (Loewe) as : "July 22 [1942], 7;25 am. sighted sailing ship bearing 30 degrees West. Three masted schooner ROAMAR from Cartagena with Colombian flag. As he did not stop for my warning shot I sank him with 22 rounds from my 10.5 cm gun. Size 400 BRT, 9:00 a.m.,she sank." Location not given, but was in the Caribbean Sea .
