The abbreviated entry for U 255 in Ritschel Vol. 6 follows:

22 April 1945 from St. Nazaire (11th Patrol)

On the way to Les Sables - quiet weather, almost smooth sea.

23 April 1945
BF 6825
Boat is not handling well in the swell (mechanical problems later found with with the Stb. rudder).

24 April 1945
BF 6821
Against Les Sables d'Olonne 2 drops of 5 TMB* (10 mines),
placed in sectors with alignment with the two light beacons.

26 April 1945
Returned to St. Nazaire

* TMB Mine - Submerged mine with 400-580 kg of explosives.

Notes: This minefield was discovered and cleared; There is no complete KTB entry for this patrol; Note that no times (in the KTB ) were listed for these events.
