Hi Peter, Not got a lot on Doenitz, but in his Memoirs [1959], it mentions on April 28th going to Ploen at the Supreme HQ at Rheinsburg, he later met with Himmler at Luebeck Police Barracks on April 30th. Then during May 2-3rd moved from ploen to Muerwik near Flensburg, the reason being he wanted to remain free as long as posible, and the [Hutments] in Ploen offering little protection against the advancing allies.Regards John
