Hi Rainer, many thanks for the info on this and U166, I shall go through the previous posts, plus those mentioned by Ken discussed earlier. Just one point before I do, would the boats be under orders of strict radio silence except for usual urgent distress or enemy shipping sightings?. Regards John. PS have you any thoughts on? or had the time to resolve what was the crew/boat compliment of U864. On further study, these extra [specialists] apart from the two Japanese and two civilians could be included in the crew compliment, which would make crew of 69 plus four. John
