<HTML>First off...it seems impossible for a U-Boat to pick up any POW\'s. There was hardly enough space for the crew so where would they put the POW\'s? There is an interesting story in \"Das Boot\" though, however I don\'t know if it\'s true...in the book it says that some captain was proud of the fact that he picked up 50 crewmembers of another U-Boat putting them wherever he could, like the bathroom for example.
The order that I heard wasn\'t exactly an order...I believed that captains were \"advised\" not to pick up and survivors. Don\'t know if it\'s true though.</HTML>
