Movies and Films
This is the forum for Movie and Film discussions. Again, our topic is naval warfare in WWII for the most part.

<HTML>I can recommend the following:
Books - U Boats under the Swastika (J Malmann Showell)
Enigma U Boats (same)
Type VII U boats (unfortunately I cannot recall the author)
Wolf Packs (Time/Life)
U Boat Tankers (again the author escapes me but is a good account of
Type XIV milk cow class and other U Tankers)

Films - Das Boot (the series or the Director\'s cut) Admittedly it is longer than 90 minutes - the director\'s cut is roughly 3 hours long, but for technical detail and generally the overall \"feel\" of life in a U Boat this film is in a class of its own. Also check out the making of sequence at the end of the Directors cut version. There is also a Das Boot museum in Germany (& a web site) containing the original set, models etc.

U571 OK this is a subject for conjecture but see it for yourself & form your own opinion.

Hope this is useful.
