<HTML>I thought so too when i saw the movie when the boat got hit. Were those american plnes. Those planes at least to me looked like they had gull wings and radial engines. Anyway the point is that knocked the wind out of the conning tower and later when the boat surfaces, the flak gun is not to be seen. Nothing wrong with that. Maybe it got dislodged in the explosion. Anyway, the sad part about that explosion is poor Kriechbaum\'s chest is ripped apart. But it looked like he survived in the end and the old man did not...... </HTML>
