OK, Eric! Thank you. I guess it will be a while till HDDVD becomes a viable entity at reasonable cost. Samsung has some picture tube HDTV sets - 26" and 30" diagonal screen dimension - at $699 and $999 respectively. They include both off air tuners and will operate on all ???? modes. The whole HDTV business is somewhat confusing and ambiguous. I hope they settle on one scan method rather than the two or three modes currently used. This confusion is holding back sales.
