I'm not sure if it is possible to upload images. I have recently acquired an example of a deck gun sight. As I am unable to show pictures, here is a link to the Carl Zeiss virtual museum, which shows original photographs of the type of sight, and has a description about it (in German).

I am still looking for more information about the storage lockers. If no-one has specific information about the sight locker, perhaps it is possible to learn something of the other lockers located on the conning tower, how they were fastened etc....
