hi my father served on the Alynbank for 4 years. He was a gun layer on the 4Iinch gun. His name was Charles [Charlie] Garside. He done 2 Russian convoys, North Africa, and the invasion of Italy.Where HMS ALYNBANK got hit by a TigerTank. He then took part in D Day on the landing craft. I still have a full ships crew photo taken during the war. also photos taken in North Africa of several crew members.Regards S Garside [son]
