Dear Peter,
I am finally responding to your E- mail regarding of your father being on board of Yugoslav submarine. I have as child perused through my father books ( in Maribor Slovenia) I have looked through 2 books of submarines which were of German origin. All coloured layouts of submarines were in two of these books. Ther were in German launguge. My father informed us that his relative was serving on one of these submarines. Do you have any list of crew names of those who were visiting Malta in 1936. My father was originally from Vodice in Istria, and after WWI settled in Maribor as an Istrian sirotinja with his mother, brothers and sisters. His Father died in Vodice of Spanish fever. As this part was annexed to Italy his relatives were proud of their values not to serve new regime and willingly scathered to abroad or other placesin Europe. Historically they were from Sinj and after Turkish penetrated into Balkan, they moved to island of Rab, and some others moved gradually towards Triest and into Istrian teritory. Please contact me if you wish on my mobile 0412 272 106. Kind Regards Anthony Ribaric
