EXE was built by Fleming & Ferguson at Paisley, Glasgow.
Ordered 11 Feb. 1941 - laid down 16 May '41 - launched 9 March '42 - completed 6 August '42.

Served in Escort groups (including 40th Escort Group and Escort Group B3),based at 'Derry, Greenock and Liverpool 1942 - 45 acting as escort for several Atlantic Convoys. Reserve & Landing Craft HQ ship 1946-48. Laid up in reserve 1948-55. Sold for scrapping in 1956 and broken up at Preston.</HTML>
