HMS AVON was escorting submarines L 2 and L 7 from Liverpool via Barrow to the Clyde when at 06:10h she reported one torpedo missed the destroyer. That was 0,75 miles off the coast, Loch Ransa, Isle of Arran.
All three units kept about 1 calbe distance between each ship.
As far as I can say there was NO german submarine nearby...
