I found this book which has more information on the other 7 POWs hanged at Ft. Leavenworth. Apparently each instance has to do with POWs who were felt to have co-operated with the Americans, and were tried by camp \"courts of honor\", similar to the U-boat men\'s instance.

The Americans didn\'t see these as anything but common murders, on the other hand.

I\'ll post more details later today...
