You state that your debate is about aggression against your country. Yet what aggression was perpetrated against your own people internally in the name of Communism! Your own people supressed by a government that called its self democratic, yet was slaughtering its own people who tryed to speak out against them... Real Democracy and Freedom of Speech is something that we in the West have had for along time. Democracy has only recently come to Russia and you still have along way to go yet!
I can fully understand your sentiments in regards to the Nazi\'s invading your country and as a War Historian myself i know of your sufferings!
But this forum is not the place to voice opinions against what happened especially as it is not related to the U-boat war.
Their are to many recent stabs at people who were in the war and who yes indeed have commited war crimes but those people have paid the price!
I can sight war upon war where mans \"inhumanity to man\" has happened, no war is without its horrors. For instance one could debate that the currant \"Balkan Crisis\" would not have come about if the Former Soviet Union was still intact.
But if this is so then you Yuri would not be having your \"Say\" on this very Forum, because if you had, you would probably have been wisked away to some underground cell and probably been beaten up by your own secret police the KGB for speaking out!
Most of the people who fought with the Allies fought for Freedom and Democracy against a tyranical regime that was intent on eventual World Domination, this was the Nazi party. As much as your country and others suffered at the hands of the Nazi\'s you cannot go around brandishing a sword and accuse every German as being party to war crimes.
I rest my case here and hope that their is no more debate on this subject. Lets get back to U-boat related questions.
Yuri I wish you and your fellow country men good luck in finding true democracy in your country.
