I don\'t know about your friends @MCAS Cherry Point and Lejune. I my time when one got out of the Corps he was a former Marine. Not an ex Marine . For Once a Marine Always a Marine refers to a former Marine. Perhaps if your buddies never knew that they will get out and become Ex Marines like their neighbors the Army Air Farce and Navy. Im not knocking them but those brances always say they are Ex.........
As for my Dad. I don\'t think you or your buddies or even I would make a pimple on his ass. I learned a lot from him. He only made a statement later on in his life that \"life is beautiful\" and that looking back at it the poor guy\'s that gave up must be happy they did and were taken prisoner. For they too got to enjoy life after the mess that the world leaders got the young men into.
I look back at my time in the Corps and think the same way now.
