Hello Gentlemen,
Apparently,this group is finally being exposed as a multi-million dollar shipwreck treasure investment scheme. It looks like this was just one of many such schemes for this group. Please Google the following:
"Gold Plunder or Fool's Gold" from the Cape Cod Times by Doug Fraser dated Feb. 26, 2012;
"Sea Hunter's Claims Challenged" from WCSH Channel 6 news, Portland, Maine on November 24, 2013;
"Hunt for Sunken Treasure Comes Up Empty" from the Cape Cod Times by Doug Fraser dated Dec. 13, 2013;
"Key Investors Lose Faith in Gorham Treasure Hunter's Big Claims" from the Portland Press Herald by Eric Russell dated Dec. 30, 2013.
While this group has spent some 5 years and more that $10 million attempting to salvage an "alleged treasure" of 71 tons of platinum, 10 tons of gold and a ton of diamonds from just 800 feet of water off Cape Cod, Odyssey Marine Exploration successfully recovered more than 100 tons of silver from the wreck of the SS Gairsoppa off Ireland in just over a year, from 15,400 feet of water, 19 times deeper and six times the distance from shore.
