Hello,

I was looking over the discussion on the color of U 552.

My question is why do most modelers use two shades of gray?

Is this strictly to show weathering/ fadeing or exposure?

I mean no disrespect to all the talented and knowledgable members

of this forum, But in my corrispondance to Erich Topp, I ask him that

specific question. He wrote : Dark grey, no difference below the waterline.

Since then I have painted them only one color, with weathering and rust

of course.

Best regards,

Connie
