Making the Revell VIIC into a VIIB

Hello All,
I am opening the subject of converting the Revell VIIC into a VIIB. What would it take? I know the conning tower will need to be changed, but my question is the HULL. A VIIB is .6m shorter over all, and 1.7m shorter in the pressure hull. But would it be noticed in the pressure hull? I know I may not get it exact, but I would like it to be close.
Whating to model Schepke's U100, later in her career.
