Extern torpedo tube

Hi y'all,

I'm currently thinking about making my revell 1/72 VIIC in port loading torpedo's. Therefore I need some information about the foreward extern torpedo tube.

The deck plates above them could be removed, but how? Were they bend open of could they simply be taken off when this tube was loaded. (Or a combination of these two) Anybody with a good picture would be more dan welcome :-)
