Correct me if I am mistaken, but I do believe that the VII C was also .60 metres longer in length than the VII B, and that the conning tower was also a tab wider from bow to aft. Whether or not such differences would really be pressing issues in the modification process is, I suppose, up to the discretion of the individual modeller.
