Was wanting to know what would require more scratch building, a Combat Models type IX or a Scale Shipyard type IX? I know there is a little price and size diffrence between them but it seems both boats would need a lot of finishing work. I was looking for a large scale type IX for a static display but have heard the Combat Models boat is about as basic as it can get. How much is needed on the Scale Shipyard boat? Anyone have photos of a finished Combat Models boat?
