I am not sure how it was pianted--but pictures from Vom Prototyp Zum Modell reveal a very dark, charcoal color. I am not sure if this from weathering, or if it was originaly painted this dark charcoal. But I would not paint it would color, nor Lcihtgrau or Euro Gray, but an off black charcoal color, based on these pics.
