Question on wood deck add on for U-505 Type 9

Has anyone on here used the wood replacement decking for the Revell Type 9 U-boat in 1/72nd? Would like to know if it is worth the price and the pro's and cons of nounting it, as I can see there would be difficulties involved. Any info appreciated.
