does anyone know what the small bump at the foot of the conning tower on a uboot is,its just behind the deck gun,i think it may be a sound head as it is above were the sound room would be.i also saw a radar like thig on the deck just aft of the bow net cutters also a sound head?it looks like a mini airport radar thingie.
also what is the frilly rim like thing around the edge of the front of the conning tower
at the top.also,the horse shoe like object.what is that?does anyone know what
the terms "group up"and"group down"mean,i saw it on a film with john mills,he's in a few british sub films.good actor.i think they were engine related commands.
