I am looking for stories from officers and enlisted personnel, photographs, sketches, original manuals (Technical Manuals, Operations Manuals,etc. relating to degaussing of Naval, Merchant Marine, and other vessels during World War II. My father, a prominent Physicist, worked on these projects for a significant period of the war with Section T of the OSRD (technically, he was a contract employee, as was Einstein, of ONR). Anything I used in publication will be credited. Anyone with information and reference about any degaussing protection of German and Japanese vessels, as well as magnetic influence exploders for torpedoes, please also contact me. V.S.
