Hello:
Type VII U-Boats had two large fuel oil tanks named Treibölbunker 1i and 2i. I think those tanks were not self compensating. Therefore, after consuming all their fuel oil, they would be empty. My question is: after comsuming the fuel, how was compensated its weight?. The submarine would be lighter. I think it´s needed to add weight to the boat. What tank was flooded ?.
Thanks in advance.
