They weren't very effective. You would just hold off as a plane and wait for them to try to dive then fly in.

If they didn't dive you called in the HK groups. You made sure that you would have other planes to come and take over when fuel was short.

They were only 4 of the boats made so that gives you an idea of their usefulness.

They had a much shorter range than normal boats.
