Hi Robert,
If I understood you well, when you click on a message you get it opened and below that you get its "tree", and you want to get all the messages opened together.
If that's what you want, then go to the original opened message. On the top of it you'll find a tool bar. Click on "Flat view". Then all the messages that form the tree will be opened one belowe the other so you will be able to read all of them in a row. If you want to go againg to the previos configuration then click on "Threaded view" and you'll get the trees again.
Hope this is what you need.
