Confused About Torpedoes

Hi everybody,
I have now seen the G7a torpedo described both as steam powered and compressed air powered. I have read descriptions of the torpedo mechanic refilling the compressed air tanks on WWII German torpedoes in U-boats which I thought were G7a’s. Could someone clarify this please? I also think the G7a’s were Atos. Is this also incorrect?
