Hi Lim,

I couldn't have said it more succinctly, myself.

Upon surrender of the Type XB U-234 at Portsmouth, New Hampshire on May 19, 1945, Kapitanleutnant Johann-Heinrich Fehler's vessel was found to contain some 900 bottles of what was described by U.S. Naval authorities as "liquor" but were actually mostly liter bottles of Beck's Beer. Many naval ratings were found to be drunk while off-loading the vessel in the following days, leading to stern disciplinary actions.

Drink up!
