Hi,
On the photos of the U-505 conning tower there is visible Wanze Runddipol, as you have noticed.
She was not equipped with Hohentwiel radar (FuMO 61), but FuMO 30 radar set only.

Why both? "Wanze" was passive device - it was designed to detect enemy radar emissions. FuMO 30
was active device - pure radar.
