<HTML>Hello to all crew mates.
I'm interested in 4 Flower class Corvettes, leased to the Hellenic Royal Navy (HRN) during WWII. Curently I'm converting the Revell (ex-Matchbox) 1/72nd kit into a R/C model and want to represent one of those ships. The vessels were: K-28 HMS HYACINTH, laid down in 1940 at the Harland & Wolf shipyards in Belfast, renamed "APOSTOLES", leased to the HRN the 24th October 1943 in Alexandria, Egypt, saw action only in the Med and returned to the RN in 1959, K-32 HMS COREOPSIS, renamed "KRIEZIS", leased to the HRN in November 1943 at Chatham England, took part in D-Day and returned to the RN in September 1951, K-80 HMS PEONY, renamed "SACHTOURIS", leased to the HRN 24th June 1942, saw action in the Med and returned to the RN September 1951 and finally K-89 HMS TAMARIS, renamed "TOMBAZES", built in 1941 at Fleming & Ferguson shipyards in N.Ireland, leased to the HRN in November 1943, saw action in the Atlantic and took part in D-Day and S. France, returned to the RN in 1959.
Tried to contact the shipyard but no responce.
Any pictures or plans would be appreciated, since all 4 of them don't look alike with a lot of basic differences between them.
Thanx in advance,
Rgds, George</HTML>
