my father served in the above ship from 1943. would I be right in thinking "the Captains Class Frigates" by Collingwood would be a good source of information regarding this ship? Just as a matter of interest, at the end of the European War, my father with a skeleton crew of 8 took an LST from Plymouth UK starting on 5th Dec to Brooklyn, New York, arriving on Xmas Eve, they docked behind USS Missouri and were invited onboard for Xmas lunch. the LST had split its deck during the journey and my father and his mate were offered jobs on the Great Lakes after they finished their service on the basis that if they could get that across the Atlantic they could sail anything!
