British Cruiser Attacked by U 65 April 1940

Various references report that the British cruiser HMS Enterprise was attacked on 19 April 1940 by U 65 but that the attack failed due to a faulty torpedo. However Kenneth Wynn, in his reference work "U-Boat Operations of the Second World War Volume 1", states that the attack by U 65 was on HMS Emerald and that it was made on the 18 April 1940. Can anyone confirm which, if either, of the two accounts is correct.
