On [uboat.net] and in many other places the location of the sinking of HMS Dunedin is listed as 3°S and 26°W. However this appears incorrect. As well as the latitutde and longitude coordinates posted on the above link in the Kriegsarine grid square (ES7985). Converting this to latitude and longitude using [www.navalgrid.com] puts the coordinates at approximately 2.55°N and -25.75°W. When referring to the KTB for U-513, the submarine that sunk the HMS Dunedin, the report lists the same thing and even indicates that U-124 crossed the equator after the sinking of the Dunedin, putting the sinking location clearly in the northern hemisphere.
