29 May 1940, East Mole Dunkirk.
HMS Grenade was hit by bombs during a dive bomb attack whilst moored against the East Mole. Six M/S trawlers were moored directly behind her and two of these sank at their moorings. One other trawler took Grenade in tow and towed her clear of the mooring into shallow water where she sank. I would be interested in knowing more detail of this event, especially the name of the trawler who took Grenade in tow. Thanks.
