Thank you for answering, but no, he was not on the YMS-21. It was the 22. His ship struck a mine on July 19, 1946. I believe there were 44 on board and only 11 survived. Daddy was the "baby" on board at age 17 and his 80th birthday is coming up. I was hoping that I could find one of his shipmates or a relative thereof.
