I know this is a random question, and I have tried to scour the internet to find out more info on it, but have so far been totally unsuccessful. It is infuriating so I have decided to ask here. I know this is probably the wrong place but I thought that since this place is THE place for WW2 naval knowledge IMHO, you would know.

Anyway, waffle aside, my question is - what is the British Naval Emergency Alarm that sounds like "whoop whoop whoop" and can be heard here:

at 5.56 into the clip, we see a warship being torpedo'd and makes the alarm before an emergency turn
