Hello guys,

on Aug. 19th 1917 S.M. UB 38 attacked a Greek steamer of abt. 2,500 grt. Amberger fired a torpedo but no detonation was heard. In spite of that the steamer stopped and heeled over to port. Finally the ship disappeared and Amberger thought it went down.

A mysterious case...

Any help is much appreciated.

Thank's

Simon
