WW1 German submariners' dogtags

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen!
I have one question...
Did WW1 German submariners had any kind of dogtags when were aboard a submarine?
I know that German Army soldiers had dogtags, oval shaped with two small holes.
I believe that German submarines had the same dogtags, with other marks and with their serial numbers and perhaps names.
But, what about submarine officers? They hadn't serial numbers, in the case of captivity they gave just their names and ranks.
So, have WW1 German submariners dogtags while aboard submarines, and what was on the dogtags.
Was any difference between enlisted submariners and officers, i.e. did German submarine officers have dogtags.
What about military books, have WW1 German submariners their military books when aboard submariners, or they left their military books on the shore, before the submarines had sailed?
I think it would be normal procedure, because the military books usual contain more information, like previous service of the owner, the owner's specialty etc.
Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Best regards!
