S.M. U 53 vs. unknown destroyer on Sept. 5, 1918

Hi mates,

while reading the KTB of U 53 (v. Schrader) I've found a sinking claim for an unknown destroyer. The description is as follows: four piper, "Faulknor"-class, surface attack at a range of 250 metres, torpedo struck home, sinking noises heard while diving.

Anybody an idea?

TIA

Simon S.
